2.7i overheating and oil leak troubles

So, a friend and I took my radiator out while taking off my water pump to install my new alt belt. After i installed the new belt plus my new injectors, i found a fat leak under her and included a couple of photos. We did drain the radiator . The oil light also flickers under accelaration and the temp guage will read 3/4 of the way if not fully hot , and will drop rapidly as soon as i turn it off.
Other small but possibly important noticings:
    •vapors coming from the reservoir
•possible from the valve cover area too
    • the leak seems to be coming from somewhere above the middle of the steering rack.
Also i have a leak near the ac compressor pulley.

    Pictures :

Also think i saw vapors coming from this too

Also some fluid has leaked onto the alt too possible from the joint of hoses above it, not sure which hose.

Overheating could be an air bubble in the cooling system. Try burping it.

As for the leak that is pretty serious. If you ever see the oil light you need to shut it down immediately and assess the situation. Is there enough oil in it? Is there coolant in the oil?

I would give it a good cleaning, then run the engine until you get some drips of oil. This will make it easy to see where it's coming from.

So it was sitting for a week and i turned it on yesterday, but when it was running it seem to've dripped more sitting then it did that week, in 5 minutes. I'll clean around and see where the hell it could be coming from, i've been :rippedoff:

That much oil at the front of the engine is either a front main seal, pan or valve cover gasket or a combination. Def clean what you can but I'd go to oreilly and get a uv dye to add to what's left of your oil

I have a valve cover gasket, i'll replace it along with rocker shaft plugs that i have and will try and tell a difference. And say if I were going to try and replace a front main seal, would you recommend doing the rear main seal as well?

That's a totally different job and even bigger than doing the front seal so no. You really ought to do a major clean up and watch for a source before you do anything more than confirm that your valVe cover is snugged down and as mentioned, that your oil filter isn't loose.

                    - so what i found is that the hoses weren't pumping any coolant into the radiator at all, and my thermostat and pump are fine
