Genius trick for installing the fan clutch

    I like this. I replaced a fan clutch with the radiator/hoses in place and it was a PITA. I guess I wasn't blessed with Cabriolet's gossamer-thin fingers

        warm weather ftl, already had a day 108F, plus a couple about 100 or so and not into the hottest part yet. it makes me think dirty thoughts to upgrade from an e30

            yeah, I have done it with the radiator in place. Did not take much time at all. Line it up and spin it in.

              We need to help them out, plus most would think i was dumb because 43 isnt hot at all

                  You need to start wearing gloves. Those $2.99 black cloth rubber palm ones from hf are great. Pretty thin. Disposable. They protect the back of my hands nicely against the radiator. I've had too many busted knuckles. My hands are average, not large.

                    never had a problem with this. just held two of the blades and slowly rotate till it gets started. then just spin it. sure you may drop it once or twice and maybe scuff up your knuckles the first time but its really not that hard IMO
