What is this (fuel system related) ?

Can anyone tell me what this is? It is tapped into my fuel system. I know it isn't the FPR, I am thinking it is related to the OBC fuel calculator.

Cold start valve. It's like a fuel injector and sprays fuel into the intake when the engine is cold to help it start.

Cool, thanks guys. How come later models don't have this? Do the later ECU's control it through the regular injectors?

Newer cars are smart enough to be able to just richen the fuel mixture when the engine is cold.

As I suspected, I started the car up and it is puking fuel all over the VC.

I'll remember to delete it when I do my motronic upgrade...or rather the harness will remind me by not having a connector there

Yeah I ordered a new one. Was not cheap, but I don't have the time right now for a Motronic upgrade. I drove it yesterday without it, and the car seems fine. Once I get it started, which isn't easy.

Well of course. Once you get the car started you don't need it. :-P
