    .... if someone has issues with MLS headgaskets, its much MUCH more likely the issue isn't the gasket (hint: its the guy behind the wrench).

        Hardware doesn't matter. I do it unless both the block and head have fresh machining with a 50ra finish or better. The copper will seal the machining marks.
