Replacing the alternator power line in the harness

Will this work? My line is cracked and corroded, I'd like to replace it.

Well, I ordered the 2AWG because I only had 44 minutes left on free next day shipping.

Well the 2AWG is like twice as thick. I guess it won't harm anything though. It's probably the thickness of the battery cable.

Dude, we make these already. We use #2 cable. It does make a noticeable difference especially when paired with a #2 engine ground. Faster engine crank speed, more stable electrical under hard load too.

Crimped, soldered, and heat shrunk. Should be good. I actually had to solder using my MAP torch (it was barely on though) because my soldering iron couldn't effectively heat this much copper. That was interesting.

Well that's good to know you use #2 as well. My engine strap is actually in pretty good shape. But I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to replace it as well. Might do that, thanks.
