Hey guys, started doing my timing belt this morning on my 87 325i and one of the bolts that loosens the belts on the front of the engine broke. Tried turning it with moderate force, and the little splines sheared right off. And ideas of where to get a new one? Searched real oem but couldn't find it. And help is appreciated. For attached pic, it's the bolt the red arrow is pointing to.

I got tire of replacing those adjusters so just use a pry bar to tighten whatever it is then lock it down...and I have a spare in my new parts bin. Just not worth the effortLast edited by jeffnhiscars; 03-26-2016, 04:51 PM.Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com

Lessen the bolts and use a small crow bar or large screw drive and pry against the block, checking the belt tension as you go. When it's "just right" tighten the bolt you wanted to replace them the others.Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com
