    885 cracked head?

Hey all, I've got a strong waterfall coming out of the front of my engine after leaving it mostly floored for 5 minutes (cable snagged and I was in the very worst place for that). It's collecting in the cave thing right under the cam gear and dripping from there, but every hose and the thermo housing near it are dry. The head to the left and right of this cave is dry. Anything put in between there above the head gasket will pool on top so it's not the head gasket.

I'm not sure the degree of overheating because my gauge didn't show anything weird / isn't trustworthy anyway, but the hissing noise coming from the opening in the reservoir bottle was obviously too loud to be a good sign.

No need to turn it on or anything, the instant water gets to that height it'll spit out. Does this cave have some sort of seal or is it likely my 885 head cracked?

No leak there that I can tell, I believe it was also leaking before so I replaced it and gasket yesterday and eliminated a stream down there. It held water and I thought I had it, but now it's dribbling down on top of it when I fill it higher.

I had a leak that looked like it was coming from where u are saying i thought it was the waterpump but that turned out to be dry. later found that the throttle body heater hose that comes from the bottom of the thermo was leaking a bit. follow the two water lines that come off your throttle body one goes back to the block and one goes to your thermo its tucked down there. if not that it might be the thermo gasket to head itself. Thought i would put it out there because mine was in the same spot. Good luck!

Thanks both, i think i found it to be the freeze plug. Under pressure it shot straight into the cam gear.
