Ireland Engineering Billet 272 Cam and Supporting mods

My planned project for this winter is to reseal my engine and do all the top end work, I plan to install an Ireland Engineering Billet 272 Cam, here is the list of mods I plan to do along with the cam, wondering if these are the right choices, I already did a search and found some info but not all the stuff I was looking for

Cam: Ireland Engineering New Billet 272
Head: 885 with Gasket Match P&P
    Rockers: Ireland Engineering HD Rockers
Intake: Stock i intake with Gasket Match P&P, MAF conversion
Exhaust: Long Tube Headers (not sure on brand yet, but not eBay)
    Injectors: 19 lb/hr Mustang
Fuel System: Walbro 255 and Bosch 044
    Tuning: SSSquid Chip
    Head Gasket: Cometic MLS
Other Misc. : ARP Main and Head Studs (possible eventual Forced Induction)

The only thing I did not figure out is what Valve Springs to use, I plan on it being consistently between 4,000 RPM and Redline

Personally, with a 272, I wouldn't worry about the head studs and gasket- it's not
that aggressive. And if you go forced induction, it's probably not ideal, anyway-
forced induction doesn't want much overlap.
If you're staying with stock redline, stock springs are OK.
If you go over 6750, find something with a bit more nose pressure- like, 25 lbs more
or so. If you go over 7k, then you want something even stiffer- but don't go over 7k.
There's no real power up there with stock intake...

Everything else makes sense- except that winter is over, out here...

    heh

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

this is for next winter (2016-2017), and i have had a few people tell me that, the other thing i am wondering now is if the long tubes are overkill

a good set of headers and exhaust can make a nice torque increase certainly money well spent if you do some research IMO, dont by junk as at best they look pretty and may sound ok but might not do what you expect and may not fit very well.

a new set of stock springs (or low mileage ones that check out) are all you need with that cam. schrick do a set of quite expensive ones which are a small increase in stiffness that certainly doesn't hurt anything but many people have used a 284/272 schrick on stock springs without any issues so the 272 should be fine given its a replica schrick 272 in effect

dont worry about head studs or fancy gaskets get a OEM gasket and set the piston to head clearance properly

if your fuel pump works fine keep the OEM one no need to upgrade fuel system on a mild NA engine except perhaps slighty larger injectors for some more margin once you get past a certain point.

im not sure if you can use a SSSquid chip with MAF conversion unless they are introducing something?

my fuel pump is on its last leg, hence the idea of new pumps, and i changed up the plan for the gasket, just doing OEM, for the headers i am going with Ireland Engineering, but debating on whether to go with the Shorties or Long Tube
