    Oil pan compatability

    Another busted oil pan..

I tried researching this before I posted so be gentle.

Wondering if a m20b27 oil pan will bolt right up to my m20b25 engine.

I'm short on time tow truck on way, gotta make some
moves here any advice is much appreciated!

    Thanks

      For sure.
Do we happen to know what the thread count is on our bolts that hold the pan up to the block.
On realoem the diagram shows the size of bolts as being M6x20-z3.
The local hardware store has M6x1.25x20 (1.25) being the thread count or size..
      Think this bolt will work?

On a side note here's the oil pan I'm on my way to get

        Update on my position.

The oil pan i got did not fit. I jacked the engine up as high as i could and the oil pan would not clear the steering rack.

so either the guy i bought the pan from didn't know what he was selling, or he did.. or i didnt jack the engine up high enough.

The oil pan gasket for my m20b25 match right up with this CL oil pan bolt pattern. That being said this CL pan has like an extra 3 inches of meat on the back of it where its closest to the steering rack. even if i could drop the sub frame it still looks like it would come into contact once the car was lowered.

I tried posting a picture earlier but i don't think you can straight off iPhone but this time I included a picture of the oil pan any ideas of what i have?

thats an E28 pan. but if you asked for a B27 pan then thats what you got, so really buyer beware. tough break.
