    Weird engine behavior

Hey everyone, my car's recently been acting weird and I don't really know what's causing it. Basically, on cold starts, it's idling at 700-800 RPM. If I drive the car a block, it'll drop to normal idling temperatures at about 600-650 as if the car was warm. Both temperature sensors are new so I doubt it would be this. Also, when it's warm, it will sometimes feel like there's less power than it usually has or there's a delay in the power (like if I give it half throttle of gas, it will take about a second for the car to realize this). Whenever it lacks power, the idle sounds like it's cammed (it doesn't jump up and down, just sounds like a cammed idle). My check engine light is on and the code reads 1224 which is the intake air temp sensor. I know this is in the AFM but I'm wondering if a bad IAT could cause these problems?

Have you checked to clean the air filter?

Yeah, IAT could do that. Meter it at the ECU- the IAT itself is pretty durable, but the wires
          are no longer teenagers...

I want to but I've been lazy recently. I'll try to do it soon.

Does this mean I'm going to need a new AFM? Hopefully not :/.
