M20B25 change automatic gearbox to 5 or 6speed

    hey formers!

i want to keep my convertible original, or atleast i want it to look as original as possble, so basicly i want to make it a stroker m20b29/30/31

but if i race vs my old convertible ( 325i manual ) i am getting shitted away. basicly becourse of the 4 speed manual.

is there a way i can fit a 6 speed automatic gearbox on it? or 5 speed?

i know there are ways. but i can realy find one

I don't really seeing it being possible. If it is its going to be a real pain in the ass.

5 and 6 speed manuals are easy. I'm sure it can be done, but you're going to have to figure it out. Start looking at the e46 320d, that engine at least shares the same bell housing pattern with the M20, but then you have to deal with the electronic nightmare that awaits you.
