    Lift pump (in-tank) fuel pressure

    Hi guys,

I'm refreshing my fuel system, and looking to source some replacement fuel line for my Lift pump to high-pressure pump.

The factory stuff is 12mm inside diameter. I've found some Gates Barricade 1/2" Inch Hose, but it's only rated to a working pressure of 35psi.

Any idea what pressure the lift pump puts out?

    Cheers!

Very low, like 4 psi. It's a high volume, low pressure pump.

Hose will be fine, as sileighty said, it's very low working pressure (much like a carburetor).

I tend to swap it out for fuel injection hose, though, that way if the lift pump ever fails, the owner can go to a single pump setup and not have to change that hose later.

        Thanks guys!

ForcedFirebird, where do you find fuel injection rated hose in that size?
I’ve had no luck so far here in Canada.

Not sure what kind of automotive chain stores you have up there, but Google says you have a NAPA, they should have it.

Interestingly enough, NAPA wasn't listed on the Gates website as a reseller.

NAPA was able to order me some 1/2" Gates fuel hose rated for 35psi, and they had the other sizes I needed in stock.
They didn't have any 1/2" fuel injection hose; should I ever have to replace my pump with a high pressure variant, I will have to source some elsewhere.

            Thanks for the lead!

Also, for reference, here is what I found in the Bentley Service Manual:
