      What effect would going from 10w60 to 20w50 do on the rattling? thicker when cold and thinner when warm? It already seems pretty thin when warm. oil pressure is around 15psi-20psi on warm idle.

        Might help some. I use 10w60 LiquiMoly in all the m20's anyways as we live in FL.

          Definitely sounds like piston slap to me. I'm new to these engines so I don't know how big of a deal it is but I know in Volvo redblock world they'll happily slap away for hundreds of thousands of miles. I'm inclined to say you're fine...
