Timing belt change cost to do

What have you paid to have a timing belt (and pump thermostat hoses etc) done....I realise this is really a DIY job, but if you have paid,,,what was the TOTAL cost?

Expect to pay in the $500 range, parts and labor. Belt kit and water pump only.

Our current price is $850 for a complete front-motor service.

This includes parts and labor for the following:

      Timing belt w/tensioner and spring
      Water pump
      Cam seal
      Front Crank seals
      Accy belts
      Oil/filter
      Coolant
      Spark plugs
      Valve adjustment
      Valve cover gasket

It doesn't make sense to have the belt off and NOT do the things that are behind it, unless you personally know they were done recently.
