    Should I go 17.5lb or 19lb injectors?

Doing the usual upgrades for an M20B25.. chip, injectors, and M30 AFM. I'm thinking of going with the M50 17.5lb injectors over the usual Ford 19lb injectors. Reason being they will waste a bit less fuel. 17.5 should be enough, right? Only other planned mods are some shorts headers at some point.

I ran the m50 injectors with a m20 afm mark d 17# 93 octane chip and a IE exhaust. I was really happy with that setup. I honastly don't think you will notice much of diffrence if you use the m50 injectors or 19# ones.. but if i were to get a m30 afm i'd prob run 19#'s just because i know ppl run it and are fine with it. But if I was you i'd give mark a call and ask what he thinks would be better with his chip, or whoever you are getting the chip from.

Where are you guys buying your #19 injectors from and how much are they costing you?

I had issues with the m30 afm and the 17.5's. Had no issues with the 19's and the m30 afm other than fuel mileage. I decided to run the m20 afm with 17.5's, chip, cai, and exhaust. Very happy with it now.

Yeah, I was planning on getting the m30 afm upgrade after i installed my m50 injectors and chip, but it ran so well I didn't think there was such a big need for a m30 afm.

Well as long as the engine and afm are properly tuned to use 19lbers, the difference in fuel consumption between them and 17.5s should be negligible. Besides, 19lbers give more headroom (always nice), and I believe can be had for cheaper, since they're Ford pieces.

Well I did find a set of M50 injectors with 60k for $40 shipped which seems fair...

Go for it then. Especially if you don't intend to go on modding the engine beyond this point.

mark d told me himself that the 17.5 and 19lb go fine with his 93 octane chip. Its up to you my friend.

I really don't think you need the 19s unless you have a rediculously built engine with a standalone and can tune everything. I think they are a bit much. My car always seemed to run rich with them. Before going turbo.. now I have 42#ers..

Any reason not to go with these?

Are the stock M50 17.5 and the 19lb injectors both 4-pintel design?

I'm running M30afm w/chip and 19lb injectors right now. It was a slight difference and to me felt better. I'm gonna see how it feels with the headers when I install them this weekend. But right now, it feels great.
