im going to be changing the transmission from a automatic to manual transmission. and i was wondering if its easier to pull the whole motor out or is it possible to just pull out the transmission?
Can you pull the tranny out without pulling the motor out?

With the right tools you can leave the motor in the car. If you're limited on things, it might make it easier for you to pull it all out, do a once over on everything. -
is it difficult to swap the transmissions? what do i need to change? because i have a wrecked car at home that has a manual tranny and i have another an e30 thats automatic that i want to make manual. so i was wondering what i would need to take out of the car with the manual trannyComment

OK then .
You should read up on the 5-spd swap threads and then you should know what is involved before jumping into it .
Then ask questions if you run into a problem but don't expect people to walk you through the swap .
Tell us what year the donor car and recipient cars are .Comment
