    528e head and 1989 525i

    Hi i just found my 1989 525i head but i have a 1987 528e motor am i able to put the 525i head on the 528e block. basically swap it?

    -It will work and run but don't expect huge hp gains

      you'll have ~8:1 compression. It will work, but as stated above, don't expect too much.

          Oh not for the Hp just to replace my head because the 528e head is bad and i fonud my 89 525i head and i wanted to change it soon. thank you guys so much for the replys

            valve seals

            Im also going to change the valve seals on my 528e head. How many do i need is it 12 seals? or more not really sure didnt look.

              If you buy a head gasket kit from a company like reinz they come with all 12 valve seals, HG, intake, exhaust etc etc.
