    Known issue with lowered m20s.

    Watch how you drive.

put spacers on your engine mounts. may be abler to get an inch or so if your lucky

Don't space your engine. Be more cautious.

I don't have any problems. If you lower your car get firm springs, good shocks and don't drive like an idiot. I have been driving my DD on H&R race and Billy sports for 13k miles without any issues. The PO didn't have any either. Not one scratch on the pan.

I would certainly make sure your motor mounts aren't collapsed. But I would not mess around with spacers, since you'll knock your driveline out of alignment and kill the u-joints and/or csb that much faster.

sagging engine mounts could be good for roughly an inch of clearance
                for wat its worth

                im on vogtlands as well

Granted Houston roads suck but if you've gone through 7 pans then you're NOT driving cautiously ......much less super cautiously .

Slow the fuck down and watch where you are going . ;)

7 pans? That must be a record. I haven't killed one yet.

I demolished one completely racing a GMC truck.
It was a bitch to remove (had to hoist the engine and loosen motor mounts)
It ran the same after the install, thank god.

I haven't trashed one yet either. But then, I'm running oem suspension too ;)
I did replace a trashed gasket, but what do you expect of 15-yo gasket material? I wouldn't say the install was easy, but it wasn't the most difficult diy I've encountered either.
