    What engine do I have?

    Short-What engine do I have?

Long-So, about a year ago when I first got into e30's, I was sure my engine was going to blow up because of the high miles(166,000). I found a guy that had a brand new m20 that he said was the high performance model. He said that it had been bored and stroked and that it was a custom Bavarian Autosport block (or something like that). After verifying that the engine was in good shape, I bought it from him for $300. I started to look into what it involved to put it in my car and it wound up just siting in my garage until about a month ago. I saw the guy I bought it from at a show then and asked him if it was a b27 or b25 and he said that he thought it was an eta. I just recently found a parts car e28 with a good running m30 and a stick, so I would like to find out what engine I have so I can sell it.
    The numbers are as follows

    Block- 1 281 204 and 25F81 in a circle
    Head- 1 264 200
    Intake manifold- 1 267 477

Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.

just look at where the icv is...if it is in the passenger side, then it is a 2.7 liter eta motor. if it is by th throttle body it is a 2.5

^^^Yeah, I know. If only I knew then what I know now. I only have the block, head and Intake mannifold, so no icv.

It will say 2.5 or 2.7 on the block.

Where? The #s I posted were the only ones I saw. And for some reason, whenever I try to post a pic, I only get red x's. I'm thinking that its an eta, but how do I know if its a super or not?

Dammit. What do you guys think a 0 mile "high performance" eta is worth?

$200? What kind of retard would build a "High Performance" ETA? It would have to be all B25 parts to be high performance, or FI.

The kind of retard I bought it from. He has an e46 m3 with fugly tsw wheels, a clam breather exhaust, a shopping kart wing and stickers all over it. Think the 2002 guys might want it? I've heard they like m20 swaps.
