    lambda

    my cars reading fault code 1222. which is the Lambda control 1? what is a Lambda. I just installed new brakes then did a stomp code thing. i ran seafoam about 2 weeks ago, could that of caused this? the car runs fine...i think. where is the lambda located?

    it's a check code for the O2 sensor - I can't remember which is which, but one code means the O2 values are out of range, and there is another code that means the O2 sensor isn't working.

      so i need a new O2 sensor, mines only about a year old. what are O2 values?

        so i checked for leaks and couldn't find anything. my 0-60's have been slower. cant seafoam mess up an o2 sensor. my car seems to idle fine. but the power seems a ltitle down. should i get a new o2 sensor or use some fuel system cleaner like bg44k

          Lambda control is usually emissions related, it is because the sensor can no longer adjust to keep the engine at stoich.

            all fixed and my 0-60 is magically 2 seconds faster. makes no sense

                undid the battery, then let the chip relearn and all is now good, and by 2 seconds faster i mean now its going normal, earlier it was 2 seconds too slow

                  Yea, it was probably a code from the seafoam, and it will tend to make the car run poor until it is cleared.
