Engine noise, need help

Was recently given this 1987 325e, did an oil change with 20w50 and a mann filter, also changed spark plugs. Motor is now super noisy at idle. Any help appreciated

did you cross any spark plug wires or left any not seated properly? Looks like there is a smoke coming from something.. is the oil level ok? Doesn't sound like you should drive it...go through everything you did to that poor thing and you will find the mistake

Maybe low on oil, double check that.

See if the clutch fan has any play or the water pump pulley has any vertical/horizontal movement. Also, you can use a long extension and place that against your ear and listen for vibration. See where it's loudest on the engine.
