The car drives great when you press the gas. In fact the cold idle is great too. The problem I’m seeing is that it’s not idling properly when the engine is warm. Above is a video that has me starting the car and showing how it sounds and shakes.

I just ran the car for a bit and I would let it rev at about 800 rpms and i felt the miss so I don’t think this is just an idle issue. The car at all rpms it seems. I just notice it less when I’m driving.

Oh, so it's a miss, that makes it sound more like a flaky CPS.

Thanks for the input. Is there any way to test the cps?

Yes, should be easy to find the procedure with a quick search.

So I just want to add some info to this post..

today I was just messing around checking out wiring, making sure the fuses were good and I went to start the car and it wouldn’t start at all which was weird because I never had that problem..

checked around again (basically changed nothing) and after a few more attempts, the car started. Then didn’t start, then started.

Is it me or is this sounding more and more like the cps? I checked the resistance and it seems fine. 550 ohms and I got the same with the wire reattached at pins 47 and 48.

                  Yup. Just an update.

Jiggle the wiring at the sensor end of the wiring while checking resistance, see if the values change.

just wondering ... if you put on a new cps when you did the timing belt last? they should easily last the duration between belt changes ~60k. perhaps it is the wires¿? sent from hell using Tapatalk

I’ll do that tomorrow and get back with you. If I change the sensor, is there any kind of resetting process I need to do?

Also, I did not put in a new cps when I changed the timing belt.

Update: I moved the cps around and the values stayed the same. Also, I bought a new cps. The car starts quicker, but still misses

Assuming your ignition system is all good, consider a failing AFM or DME. Both are known to fail after these many decades.
