    Thats a check valve, if it's leaking just pull it apart and replace the 'o' rings within' that's what I did.

        I thought that was the brake porportioning valve, I just drilled a hole through it to get more fluid to the rear brakes.

            Looking at realoem, BMW call it a "BRAKE PRESSURE REGULATOR" So you are right.

            I was mixed up. Sorry about the miss information.

            They are actually kinda fun to repair, just pull it apart get the 'o' rings out and head down to your local auto shop for new ones.
