Jean you won't hurt anything, trust me. Your best bet is to turbo the engine the way it is now, get the tuning down good and if the HG pops swap in the MLS, ARP's an your good for 500+hp.

      Want one of these....

Hello. I was wondering have any of you guys had the block studded with the ARP studs? Don't they make there stuff in standard thread and the stock bolt are metric. How much on average does it cost to have your block drilled and tapped? and do you have to drill the head for clearance cuz you up size on the stud.

I'm currently looking into the 3.5 swap on my 325e and shortly after boosting it. I come from a Nissan background and I'm only 6 days into owning my first BMW. So sorry if these were dumb questions.

I am pretty sure they make correct studs and you don't have to re-drill or re-tap anything.

Call Steve at TopEnd www.racetep.com 818-764-1901 and tell him Otis sent you. That's were I buy everything, got my ARP's from them and prices are better than VAC. No need to drill or tap anything

                  Doesn't m90 pistons + M30/90 rods + M30b35 crank + M30b35 head = 3.6L & 10.5:1 compression?

Did you make this? looks great. What does something like that run?

I am about to order the stud kit and the MLS from topend. Just need to have the head redone, any recomendations on things I should do to the head while it's being rebuilt?

The crank in the E3 3.3Li has a stroke of 88mm, but good luck finding one. Pretty sure they are rarer than a 90mm 3.8 crank.

You could build a mean 3.7 with that crank and 94mm bore pistons.

Yes I make the turbo manifolds, made from schedule 10 304 SS, $800 shipped.

I would change the cam, look into a regrind from Topend and clean up the exhaust ports.
                        Are you going turbo?

That's the plan. Going to do NA first to get it all working, but did not want to pull the head once in the car. So thought I would set it up and avoid the hassle later.

                          Thanks

i was looking into o-ringing my block before i dump it back in.
Kris you ever think about doing that?
hell a MLS gasket costs almost as much as the o-ring tool does.

As a matter a fact I have, when I was going to go turbo on the M42 i was going to go that route. I'd be interested to split the tool cost if you go that route. Did you have your head rebuilt? If so did you do it local?

It had been so long I forgot about it actualy!!
