Older M30 engine blocks have bosses and tapped holes that the newer blocks lack. Keep that in mind if you're buying pre-fab engine brackets.

found a trashed 86 533i hiding in a local junk yard. guys says the engine ran when it arrived. been there for a few years. engine looks clean. says he'd take $200 for engine, harness and computer. what do you guys think ? i'm an M20 man, but i might like to stroke or turbo an M30.
