The switches you are talking about are part of the body harness. The swap shouldn't have affected any of that. Check your fuses again.Are Three Vee

Do your windows still work? Assuming they are power. Let me go out to my car and check the wire color
The wire is black with a yellow tracers. Yes. I can't exactly see where mine is attached but I know it is attached to the starter. Is part of the engine harness. I know it's some sort of inhibitor wire of some sort so you can't run the windows while starting the car. And my windows and blower motor did not work until I finally found it and connected it.
As far as it fixing your rad fan/a/c switch problems I am not sure. I use the a/c switch for my rad fan but didn't install the fan until the very last step of my swap, just about.

You'll have to get the pinout for your c101 for the E30, mark's writeup has it im sure. I think it's #18 on the e34 harness.
