Thanks, you're right... Just going to try to fab the mounts to sit a bit further... Exhaust is done, but haven't had time to go get it from the shop yet... Hopefully tomorrow...

You won't need any wiring if you use the transmission that comes with the e30... If you use the one with the m30 then you'll probably have an eh which requires all that mess. With the regular 4hp22 all you'll need is the right throttle body and a different kickdown cable. Oh, and the right bell housing.

I have a question based in the AT wiring. Did you have to do any wiring for the transmission? And what work would I be doing? I'm looking to do a m30 swap also and have everything I need I just don't know exactly what to do for the transmission aspect as far as wiring goes. Help me!!!!

Cool, maybe I'll have to trade for an 8" and follow your lead... Why didn't you run the stock condenser fan at first?

Thanks to Corvallis, I got the sensor he recommended on his thread, hopefully that'll help kick on the fans early. Dreading the wiring of that stuff since it's not my forte.

Thanks, yes it is a pita, wasn't able to squeeze it in... If I can't fit it there though, it also won't fit between the engine and rad, probably because of the brand new firewall mat and no massaging. Thinking about just scrapping the AC system. El Paso temps are usually around 100 so AC would be great, but added heat from that plus the ambient temp and transmission wouldn't be good. I think if I lift the engine a couple inches it'll gain some clearance from the radiator and can pull it back enough to slide in the fan. Worth a shot.

I was running (2) spal pushers for a while - one in front of condensor, the other in front of radiator. I had to bend the tabs on the condensor to move it forward to fit the two fans in. I think the clearance was tight for the first one, though, as I went through two fans on the condensor as the blades hit something. It was a tight fit.

Now I have the stock condensor pusher and a small 8" spal puller on the radiator up in the corner. They are wired to both come on if either the A/C or temp sensor are triggered. Temp gauge is mid-way in stop-n-go traffic when "Houston hot" outside...

If you put the fan between your condenser and radiator your condenser will not work well. Plus it's a PITA to move because of the hardlines. Read the link in my sig to see how to mount a pusher fan.

Currently there isn't one, it won't fit. Trying to squeeze it in between AC condenser and radiator now. I did try moving the engine back some to no avail. Will keep working on it.

Thanks again for all your help, got it moving on it's own last night, taking it monday to get exhaust work done. Spal fan won't fit in, think I'll need new mounts to move engine back a hair more or drill new holes in current ones. Ended up buying cooling lines for the 5 series and running them to the radiator like stock.
