What else did you do in conjunction with the injectors? How was the power difference with the markd chip???.. it must be a bitch to change them in the M20. I've never changed injectors before, but i could imagine. I will be doing it in my M30 in a couple months....

That's impossible, since your stock injectors are already 17.5lb/hr. It's only an 8% difference, despite how sad it's capabilities are the Motronic can still correct for that much.

Also, FWIW, moving from 14.2lb to 17.5lb injectors in my car led to an immediate decrease in fuel consumption, along with much better throttle response (4-pintle). STILL haven't met up with Mark to dyno it again though, so no power claims.

FYI 205/60R14 is spot on for odometer.

              Keep it slideways!!

                Goodie

Swapping the injectors is pretty easy, remove valve cover, pop off the electrical connectors and rail, remove four bolts and then pop those suckers off the. I tried to remove the rail from the injector and was successful on all but one. To install i put them in the ports first and then put the rail down on top.

My mileage seems better. Ive gotten 70 miles on my last quarter tank or so of hard driving.

Well, my highway mileage looks pretty good. City mileage is CRAP. How crappy? I'll have real numbers after i replace the clutch master and slave.

I have 19# 4 pintle orange ones from a mustang gt~ the #24 ones are from a cobra but I don’t remember what color they are. My milage stayed the same with the stock and the new ones.

The econometer may be way off.
It usually is, but even more so when you put in bigger injectors. It measures how often the injectors are open~ The 19# injectors are opened less than the stockers. I get over 40mpg on the highway according to the gauge with my 19#, but its actually more like 27-28.

So if you were to do this conversion to 19lbs injectors all you would need would be the injectors correct? Where could you get your hands on 19lbs injectors?

The ones that came on the 5.0.

Not all 5.0 motors had 4-pintle design II injectors (the only kind you should use).
