Has anyone ever done a 7mgte swap into an e30 before. My friend recently spun a bearing in his and is not picking up a jdm motor for his supra. we were thinking how sweet it would be to put into my e30. How much custom fab would this take. and what else would i need i.e driveshaft wiring harness, intercooler the works?

I'm guessing it came out of a Supra. More than likely... a LOT of fabbing. for everything. Count on it costing a shit ton of money.

Why a 7M-GTE? I'm sorry but if you are going through all the headaches to drop an alien engine in a BMW chassis, you should pick a better engine.
7M-GTEs dont offer a hell of a lot of potential.
Now a 3S-GTE would be nice to see..... even a 3S-GE would be sick as it is.Erick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

dude, 7M- GTEs are pretty insane. I'm not going to throw numbers and stuff out there, but they have PLENTY of potential. I could see it as being a reasonable swap due to inexpensive price of the 7M- GTE. I agree though, if you are going to deal with the hassle, you might as well get at least a 1JZ, or a 2JZ-1992 325i -
