Save rev range for the M30 with mods

Sorry for starting another thread but the other one was getting confusing.

I have a M30B35 that was out of a 91 735i and i am replacing the pistons with CP pistons. The head work will be done by BimmerHeads. I will have a Miller MAF/W.A.R. conversion on it. Free Flow exhaust, and a ported intake and throttle body. I am hoping to make 250hp but ill dyno it when im done and its in the car.

But what i want to do is ask to see if revving the engine to 8000 with all of those modifications to it would be safe. this engine will not see 8000 on a regular basis it is not a race car. But every now and then my friends and i do want to go to a track maybe once or twice every other month. Note: they all have old muscle cars so lol. Please if you have real experiance with these engines with similar specs let me know if 8000 is safe. if not let me know what you think the revs should be at. This is my first build and will take a while for me to complete. I just dont want to destroy it.

I'd try to shift by 6,500 and never past 7,000. Even a S38 shouldn't be revved past 7,000 on a regular basis.

why would you want to rev that high anyways? m30's run out of breath way before then...

NA standard M30B35 max torque @4100RPM / max hp @5650RPM
add a Schrick cam: max torque @4200RPM / max hp @5750RPM
Name me one good reason to rev this engine to 8000 rpm.

I have no clue what headwork BimmerHeads is going to do - if it doesn't involve adding another cam and 12 valves I think you'll have some serious breathing problems even revving over 7k.

If you have the right cam and rockers yes, but for a stock engine no.

The engine won't be stock. It's gonna have bimmer heads. Head work and new pistons

But for the most part the bottom end is stock right?

Stock crank, rods, main, and big end bearings, stock oil pump etc?

I'm going to be getting VACs performance coated bearings for the crank and rods and the rods are going to stay stock the oil pump a new gear from VAC. But other than that to bottom end will be about the same

It's a stock engine stock compression so it's deff a no on the 8k rpm especially with a stock cam.
