I'm using those too, in position 2, and there's no way to fit anything in there. I'd love a puller if it would fit.

I'm running position 3 mounts. A 324td mech fan fits and a slim electric will definitely. I NEED the maximum amount of cooling I can get. When Phoenix hits 120 in the summer and I got A/C running its going to be a huge headache. But in better news I found my M30B35!

Nice! I think you'll be able to make it work then. Just remember to make up a good shroud or the puller fan will be useless!

This should be interesting then, I haven't actually seen anyone use the slim fan with a shroud. Its gets pretty hot here in tx too

I have to have the best cooling I can get with this build. So I will be doing whatever I can.

You can run megasquirt and have a delete plate up front + position 3.. That would give you amazing amounts of room. Thicker radiator, push n pull.

Isn't the pulley too high up on the m30 to run a mech. fan?

You would have to shave the blades right down so it wouldn't hit under the bonnet..

                    I could be wrong though.

Only way to make it work is with a 324td mech fan and clutch.

So I am using my M20 harness and it looks like the M30 harness doesnt have a disconnect to the fuel injector harness like the M20. So do I need to go pull one off a M20 intake mani? Also do I need to order a Manual TPS or do I need to order a whole new Throttle Body since they need to calibrated?(Since the Auto harness connecter is different than the Manual connector)

You need to use the whole m20 harness. If you didn't get the injector harness, its not complete. For the m20 tps, they are all the same for auto and manual and will swap over to the m30 throttle body. Only variant is the late autos with the selector knob on the center console.

Yeah, I will have to buy another injector harness, sold mine with the intake mani. So just find a manual TPS and pop it in? Isn't the TPS calibrated with the Throttle Body itself?

Yeah, any e30 tps will work on an m30 throttle body. They are very easy to adjust, you should hear the tps click as soon as you open the butterfly. Just to clarify, any harness from an i motor will work on an m30. I'd source an injector harness like you said, and you'll be in business.

I'll be really interested in seeing your setup with the 324td fan when it's done. My engine is also in P3, and if I could run one I would as unlike most people doing fan deletes, I'd rather the clutch fan.

Just to put your mind at ease, we had a week last week where the temperature was 110 all week, and my car had no overheating issues just running the stock e32 pusher fan. Mind you I don't have air conditioning so I was pretty over heated ;)
