Huh? My car didn't have a leak. I'd say though yours is probably a fuel
    Line.

Where is you leak coming from?
Rear of car/or along a fuel line run?

Oh and as for the gas leak I'm stumped
There was no exaggerating a good pint of gasoline at the rear of the car by the fuel filter
I'm wondering if I snagged a fuel line when u had the engine in and out a million times today?
Also had the car jacked up at quite an angle with a full tank...

Either way under I go tomorrow to inspect...

same here with the battery tray
I kept catching my head gasket and ignition wire cover on the battery tray lip

    Haven't touched anything thing since...

    Thoughts on more hamering?
I'm using a 8 lbs sledge and a ball peen hammer.

Also using garagistic motor arms with gman visionary mounts.
I dont really see this "position 1,2,3" business
I just want the motor as far back as possible.

Pull the pump fuse. For extra measure. I know what ya mean when mine wouldn't start just makes wanna throw in the towel. Before you smack it up up load a couple more pics. I noticed for me fitment was more of an issue by the battery tray

Thanks man, kinda took the wind outta my sails...I had intentions on actually getting the engine turned over.

Bang the firewall even more? It's allready pushed back a good 2" or so-I'll smack it up some more for good measure

Leveler is the way to go-didn't have a buddy helping today so it was tough

Also...somehow fuel started leaking at fuel filter today so weird.

That's when I threw in the towel

Ah that sucks. If I was you I'd bang your firewall more. Not in the tranny well but right where the brake line is. In the spring :( your gonna wanna connect the motor to the tranny and get a good engine leveler to make balancing the motor easier. Good luck man hope it all works out.

    It's official.

M30 b35 doesn't like to be dropped in without its tranny.
    Motor is so unbalanced.

Guess it's staying in the garage for the winter and the e30 is headed to storage sans engine.

    *grumble*
A set of torx bolts for my transmission is all I needed to get the whole unit in there*grumble*

    Patience I suppose

My tranny bolts are tied up at the boarder (ordered from bmw atlanta) and at this rate I just need the engine/car our of the garage so I can have the car sent to storage...winter hit here today and we need the garage for our daily car

Friend of mine locally has his m30 in his e30 and he didn't touch the firewall.

Tomorrow I'm removing the fan and hammer in the firewall.

    Live and learn

Lol yea for the swap you need to take that firewall back about 2.5 inches maybe 2 since you got a b35 and eliminate the fan clutch cause that's what the spal fan will be put in for. I'd highly recommend dropping the motor and tranny as a whole.

    Almost in

I'm stubborn and thought I could drop the engine in with the fan and not hammer in the firewall.

    I was wrong.

    Done for today.

Will get it fully by Monday

    Pics for fun
