I've waited too long as well!
Picked this beastie up at the beginning of the year. Needed some attention, but the body and key components were great. Texas car for all its life until it made it to MT a couple years back.
Checked all of the body for rust and put undercoating and paint on all exposed metal. I put Lamin-x film on the hood, fenders, and front fascia. New Revshift motor and transmission mounts keep everything tight and Bav Auto spark plug wires keep the old M30 firing. Will likely clean up the engine bay and check on a few things soon.
Off the top of my head:
Motor and trans:
-M30B34 swap. Custom motor mounts.
-shaved head
-Microtech LT-8 ECU
-3.46 635Csi diff w/ M diff cooler
Body, suspension, brakes:
-5-lug conversion
-Bilstein sport struts
-H&R lowering springs
-Rear disc brakes
-Brembo vented discs
-stainless clutch and brake lines
Original build at
Engine bay pics coming soon. Don't have recent onesLeave a comment:

Hi Everyone, i have found a '89 535i manual, which is breaking and i am after the engine and box (which is for a good price) can someone put a list of what i will need from the above vehicle? for the swap into a '93 e30 316 touring?
I roughly know but i don't want to miss anything as it is a 8hour drive away?
All help will be appreciated and i will be starting a build thread as soon as i have the engine + box.

Here ya go :)
Fitting engine

Engine Bay - one year on!

Outside (not overly keen on the rims but they were free with new tyres - I normally run stock 14 inch weaves for that ultimate sleeper look :) )

First Start
On Dyno - 124kW @ the wheels on the day; most importantly fuel ratios etc. were spot on, as were driving tests - stoich on cruise, WOT enrichment working etc.
