    Either thermostat or the temp sensor on the radiator. IIRC e36 318ti radiator temp sensor works well with the aux fan and it will kicks in before it gets too hot.

      Does your coolant bottle work?
      Check to see if the return line or hole in the actual bottle isn't
      clogged.

        I have the 318ti temp switch already. Coolant bottle is brand new. Just don't see what the deal is :/

          I wonder if part of the heater hoses are routed and elevated a tad higher between the heater core and the thermostat, thus would create air trap?
