p.s dont you mean 215mm clutch?

agreed 320 = impossible to find.....but what do you think about this 87 E harness? ive heard the same thing....think it will work for the m10 set up?
if that harness works....our m10 cars will be ideal for the m30 swap :D

All depends on the engine to be used and the ecu to run it.

you can not use a motronic that uses flywheel sensors because the m10 doesn´t have
any mounting points. so it´s motronic 1.3 only and front timing wheel.

There are only a very few wires you need to wire to start the engine to the car.
        starter is black/yellow
        coil is green wire
rpm on motronic 1.3 is black in the round connector
blue is alternator - sometimes there are two blue so measure to double check
fuel pump varies a bit and needs to be checked from m10 harness and relays.
        same with m1.3 harness.

shit my car is jetronic ....does this mean i am screwed? ....is it going to be impossible to wire up this engine and fuse box?

You don´t do anything with the fuse box.
you just find the wire colors mentioned,

                all m10s are jetronic.

if you have a early m30 you will need the later m30 motronic front crank sensor and timing wheel on the front. I.e update the engine to later motronic you don´t have to do that with the later m30´s. you can then get a m20b25 motronic loom and use that.
but you will need to rewire the loom a bit to connect to the m10 box connector.

best would be to locate a m10 wiring diagram and trace the m30 side to the m10 side.

I realize this is an old thread, however I have a bare '84 318i shell, and a running (but wrecked) '90 535i manual. So I was planning on swapping in this drivetrain into the 318i, but all the electrical is out of the 318i. Can I use the complete M30 E34 wiring harness in the 318i and not mess with E30 electronics? I shouldn't need any electronics from an E30 correct?
                              Thanks,
                              Korey
