Ok to settle things a little bit.
What I made work is and work well btw.
E23 735i engine using e30.de pos3.
E30 318i gearbox
E30 320i driveshaft no mods direct fit
E30 320i gearshifting mechanism no mods direct fit
E30 3,73 LSD
E30 320i wiring loom, small harness opening to lengthen AFM wire. other wise nothing
E32 735i ECU Motronic 1.3 again.
E23 exhaust manifolds and custom exhaust from there.
SPEC Stage III clutch and pressure plate for BMW 218mm M10 size.
Stock clutch will NEVER work under full load.
Car hauled major ass, same ratios and speeds as with the M10 in there but with at least twice the power and twice the torque. Leaves WRX´s for dead very easy.
used a M10 gearbox twice for M30 swaps, one is this one.
Used by owner for fun and general driving. Has seen since built plenty of drifting and hard driving. With no damage to the gearbox.
240 box handles the torque fine. I wouldn´t use it for anything more then 300lbs torque though for long.

so whats my options. i have the 86 735i i just picked up and i want to put it in my gutted 318i
