I've developed the circuitry to convert the fuel signal for larger motors to something that the OBC will interpret correctly so that your OBC works for MPG.

Yes, I've fixed the econo gauge.

It is working great on the DOHC motors and I'm looking for someone in the Seattle area with an M30 that is interested in correcting the problem on your car.

I assume the M30's have the same problem. You get wildly optimistic MPG readings from your OBC after the swap.

I will install the small circuit on your car. You get to keep it in exchange for your feedback on how well it works. I'll be in Seattle from the 13th - 21st of May.

I honestly have no idea if it's an issue with the M30. I would have guessed that with bigger injectors and a bigger motor your OBC mileage would be waaay off.

Is that not the case?

With the M50 I read about 45-50mpg on average.

I'm bummed that I won't be there for the picnic but I'm always up for a get together.

I'm a little bit suprised that you guys are getting accurate MPG but your range is way off. They should be going hand-in-hand.

The problem with the DOHC motors is that the larger injectors fool the OBC into thinking less gas is being used because it bases the injector duty cycle on 14lb injectors. Less gas used makes it think MPG is much better.

Definitely weird... why doens't the M30 do the same thing???
