Congrats on your new project, Can't wait to see it when its done ? My freind did this swap but ran it a problem of the old school distributor hitting the hood but it looks with standalone fuel and spark you won't have that problem.

Are you going to relocate thottle body to other side and add large front mount intercooler?

We are definitely going to run an intercooler, and have plenty of room behind my airdam.
Not sure of the routing yet, though.

The distributor I think is only an issue on the early Euro motors, or possibly the 102s. On the late M30 and M106, the distributor cap is on the front of the motor like on the M20, and no issue with clearance.

Looks amazing as usual Joe. Still haven't ridden in the car after the many times i've seen it. Makes me keep kicking myself for going m50 instead of m30.

I've been wondering about this. Too lazy to search, shoot me.

Is this done purely for plumbing pruposes? Or is there any other benefit to it? That one guy with the touring+M30 did this with a Mustang dual butterfly throttle body. Took up damn near the whole face of the plenum.

It is done so that you can easily use a standard front mount intercooler
