Sweet! I saw something like that on BF.c and didn't think much of it at the time. Looks like it has numbers for the 260/5 and my 265CR but no 260/6. I'll look through my books and see if I can find anything on the 260/6.

If anyone wants the original pic, pm me your email and Ill send it, you can see the numbers and the graph better.

Here is my trans, dont even know which one it is yet, came with the engine. I need to take out of the box and look for numbers so I know what I have.

Ian, pretty sure the 260/5 and /6 have the same gear ratios.

Or 262 behind M30 (used for example in E12, E28 etc etc). Quite rare, though.

I had one of those in my 335, with 3.64 diff had 4000rpm @ 100km/h, so that'll be one "problem". E34 525td has 2.65 LSD which is "bolt on" to E30 by swapping the rear panel ;)

The diff the set up came with is a sideloader, the engine is the m30 from 79 3.5 so the trans may quite well be the 262. I will check tonight when I get home tonight. I assume there is some sort of a code/number on it?

I have the same gear box also with the same part # but I don't think it's the dogleg. What year is stamped on the front of the tranny?

yup its in... car ran for 30 seconds after i did the head gasket 3 nights ago... cam seized... you can imagine what my life is like right now. The motor is out and totally stripped. I'm actually sourcing a whole motor as we speak cause i just can afford to keep throwing money at this one.

If anyone is interested in a good bottom end. Comes with 3 heads, b35 and b33 and b34 cams, new valve seals in 2 heads...
