Any idea on prices on the S50, and what about FI on it? Straight forward drop in right? No modding or custom motor mounts?

I wasnt suggesting the S50... for whatever reason, getting power out of those motors seems to be way more expensive than any other. I am a firm believer in the BMW single cam!!

So stick to a turbo m20 huh? Well, I will do that, and hopefully the motor holds up,even with 2-300k miles on it.

Isaac had his old turbo M20... the motor was old, burning oil, and still boosting. It never gave in. Take care of your M20 and it'll take care of you.

            listen carefully.

325i head + 325e bottom + boost, it can make mid 300s with light motor mods like gasket and studs, and will last forever.

            1984 325e... SLOW.

So just slap on a E30 325i to a E30 325e bottom, new gasket, and head bolts, no need for forged piston or rods? Seriously? So were looking mid 300's to the wheels?

Ja, ze Germans build engines out of iron! Not scrap soda cans like ze Japanese.

Seriously though, they are incredibly tough right out of the box and these guys aren't leading you on.

                  Definately not far-fetched.

If you start overboosting and blowing HGs get the head or block o-ringed and go for more.

If you do a cometic head gasket and ARP stud with that I've seen mid 400whp.

yep, just the 2jz, everything else was kept stock, the other motors that I have worked on were all kept stock xcept for the 2jz, just took it to my indy shop, and they did the rest.
