Anybody have any info or a DIY link to delete the AC system? I searched on here and m42club and e30tech but couldn't find any info on it. Thanks.

I've done a few (okay a bunch), any specifics you need to know? It's not all that complex.I'm Not Right in the Head | Random Rants and other Nonsense1st Order Logic Failure: Association fallacy, this type of fallacy can be expressed as (∃x ∈ S : φ(x)) → (∀x ∈ S : φ(x)), meaning "if there exists any x in the set S so that a property φ is true for x, then for all x in S the property φ must be true". -
It's a mod since it's my track car and I don't need it

You can just cut the belt... it only goes from crank pulley to ac compressor.
I would just take out the compressor and condensor (and the accessable lines to each)... everything else doesn't weigh that much and is a PITA to remove.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

and the mounting block and pulley, a whole nother 4 bolts
if its a track car , get rid of the P.S. too
getting rid of all that and the resavoir, and the extra belt, really cleans up the engine and compartment
even my 5' wife can drive it, and does not complain about any extra effort
now get rid of the fan clutch and fan
you can wire the stock aux fans to kick on
now you have really cleaned up the engine compartment and picked up some HP tooComment

There are countless threads on here about how much people hate deleted power steering. You're gaining very little by removing it...'89 325is S50 Track Montser

not to be an ass but you plan to track your car and you can't remove a/c components on your own. yikes. you're going to have a very tough road ahead of you. track cars need to be maintained more then dailies and things will break eventually. you need to just start working on your car and learn by experience and learn from your mistakes.

Thanks for bein an ass, but I was just double checking if there's anything special that needed to be done before I start pulling parts because I haven't even looked at the AC system yet, I've been too busy working on everything else on the car, the AC system was not high on the "to do" list before track season this year. Thanks for your concern.not to be an ass but you plan to track your car and you can't remove a/c components on your own. yikes. you're going to have a very tough road ahead of you. track cars need to be maintained more then dailies and things will break eventually. you need to just start working on your car and learn by experience and learn from your mistakes.1990 S50 goodness.Comment
