    E30 No Acceleration and Popping

Back again trying to figure this issue out. Alright so my e30 with the M42 one morning decided to have inconsistent no acceleration and would start popping when trying to accelerate. After hold down the pedal towards WOT it’ll finally kick in and jump. Don’t know what to do anymore, new injectors, new fuel pump, new FPR, swapped with spare MAF, new coolant temp sensor, cleaned ICV and all that junk, and new vacuum lines.

Have you tried a new CPS? Is it throwing any codes?

check all your vacuum lines again. one could have worked it's way off.

Haven’t tried that, how could I test it? So code wise I wouldn’t really say it does. I’ve had a 1222 code that only occurs at high speeds and at WOT but it also may be related to this issue. 1222 pretty much tells you jack shit.

I’ve already went over them multiple times sadly.

1222 is a lamda code. So this is probably happening when you either run lean or rich at times. Is there a heavy fuel smell when you drive? Does the car act like it's hitting fuel cut? or a revlimited when it acts up? Also did you replace the fuel filter? Are you getting good spark?

try a smoke test. i'm wondering if a manifold gasket has let go.
