    Strange stalling issue

    Car is a 1991 318i. Approx 142k miles on it, 5 speed.

    After starting, car will idle ok, but as soon as you push on the throttle, she sputters and dies. If I LIGHTLY press the throttle, and push slowly, I can get the engine all the way up to redline, holding it anywhere in between. Any faster input to the throttle and she sputters and stalls.

    Changed DME, AFM/MAF, and TPS.

        What's the best way to check fuel pressure on an m42? Sprayed down for vacuum lekas couldn't find any

        EDIT: Swapped the fuel pump(was louder than it should be) with fuel pump from 91 325ic - car runs perfect now :)

              in what way????? Never heard such a thing.. Please provide facts, as the statement makes no sense. One can purchase an aftermarket Walbro fuel pump that is NOT manufacturer/make/model specific and install this same pump in either a standard coupe, sedan or convertible with no adverse issues - and the install/wiring is the SAME on all 3 models...
