attempting to replace intake manifold gasket

ive gotten everything off the 91' 318is and now im waiting for my gaskets to come in. Is there anything thing else i should do while this stuff is off. Also any advice on how to make reassembly go smooth would be very helpful.

Have you taken care of "the mess under the intake"? Google that phrase, and behold the horror.

Also replace the fuel hose between the fuel rail and the hard lines.

The mess under the intake is easy enough, just make sure you have all the parts before tackling the job.

I didn't touch any fuel lines when I did mine.

I just did this on mine because one of the two small hoses was leaking. Just heat and rubber do not mix over long time. I always recommend changing those hoses everytime you remove the intake. The last thing you want to do is remove all that just for 3 inches of hose down the road. Its more pre-caution than anything. You can also have your injectors cleaned if they are original and never been done.

update got everything put back together except this little d*** of a hose that leads into the underside of the throttle body, coming from the fuel rail.
