    that can depend on the equipment though too..

    e.g. I've got a cheapy 3/4" impact and a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles HF compressor - and dude, that ain't shit to what I can get off with my breaker bar and dead blow..

          I bought a new 1/2" impact just for this. At 90 psi 340 ft-lb at my fingertips. :)

            Take the lower pan off and wedge a 2x4 between the inside of the block and the crank counterweights.

                I took the clutch and flywheel off and out two flywheel bolts back in and wedged a hammer in between them and the ground. I put a breaker bar on it and me and my little brother stood in the end of it and it finally broke loose. Then I took the oil pan off and found metal shavings and that 3 of my 4 rod bearings are jacked. The end! :(

                      op, when you do get the bolt off fwiw it doesnt need to be that tight when you re-install it.
                      a little lock tite on the threads/ bout 60ft lbs torque and your good. at least thats what i did. makes it a hell of alot easier if you do have to remove it again later
