Alright so now I'm getting a little worried that the valves could possibly be bent... I should have given all this info to begin with. I bought this car from someone recently and it didn't start when I bought it. The guy said that the car was running before he went on a business trip and when he got back it didn't start. Looking at the timing chain being 3 rivets off leads me to wonder how the timing got this far off without hopping some teeth. So if this is the case then he completely lied about the car just randomly not turning on. Either that or they magically hopped while the car was sitting still... This guy lives like 10 minutes away from me

What should i do to test if they are bent?

the best way to test that is a cylinder leak down test. Make sure you get the timing correct first.

If worst comes to worst and you need valves I have a whole valve train completely cleaned and inspected.

I got it to TDC and it turns out it actually had correct timing. I don't understand why someone would put those deremel lines there when there is already the factory etched arrows.

I cleaned up the oil in the spark plugs, jumped the car so it could turn over with a full battery and after enough tries she is up and running!!!!
