    Fuel pipes under the intake

    Hi,

out of what kind of material did you guys use the two short fuel pipes under the intake of the M42.
Those are very near the engine, also they may touch the lower part of the intake aswell, meaning they become really hot.

    PART 15.

Mr. Pink tires, youre the M42 pro in here, what would you say?
Is it fine to use normal fuel pipes you use elsewhere, or do I need special ones, because of the temperature?

So I used standard ones now, but I am afraid it was wrong, and I should change them back to better but also much more expensive ones.
Im just not sure, need help...

As long as you use fuel injection fuel hose all should be good. Higher pressure from pump for injectors, standard fuel tubing will split. Heat is not an issue, touching or not, intake manifold doesn't get hot enough to burn/melt fuel lines.

op, those will work fine. fwiw they really dont get that hot either. Standard fuel hose will work here no problem.

If you want to upgrade to steel braided or something like that the size is -8

      also. super clean engine.

        Ok then.
How often do you change those two short fuel pipes?
And what kinda material do you use, I heard that some people use FPM?
I have non FPM ones now.

I changed out all my fuel line with new stuff when i pulled the intake to take care of the mess of coolant/vacuum lines.

replacing it once should be fine. thats all ive ever done. material is just standard fuel line hose. FPM works too but its not needed

            Thanks again for the reply.
I replaced mine since I did rebuild the engine.
The old ones were the original 22 years old ones, I am very sure of.
One of them was about to split on its whole length, car would have burned down maybe.
I mean, if the fuel then comes down to the starter... :firehop:
