Any thoughts on how to get a rounded hex key bolt out?

a) grind tapers on a larger allen driver, pound it in, and remove the fastener. b) weld a nut on the head of the fastener and remove it.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

dremel larger straight notch across the head of bolt. Use a impact driver with a flat head blade to remove the bolt.

Vise grips or a bolt out. Something to grab the outside of the bolt basically. Most of the time, once they break loose, they will unscrew easily.Comment

I'm with chugs..
a fan of dremmeling a slot - then taking it out with an impact driver. This technique has saved me numerous times..Comment

those bolts suck.
