M42 engine stand mounting bolt size??

I am wondering what size bolt I need to put an M42 on to an engine stand?

    Thanks!

IIRC they are M12x1.5 or you can just use your transmission mount bolts if you like. Let us know if this is correct.

I bought the car with the engine out, and no trans bolts. I picked up m12x1.5 bolts yesterday, but they are not the right size.

They are not all the same size....The top ones are m12, there are a couple m10 (starter) and down lower are m8.

I think the top ones are m12 x 1.75 pitch. Whatever standard coarse thread is.

Ah, well my apologies for steering you wrong, looks like jakeb picked up the slack. But you will still need to get some transmission bolts, so, two birds one stone?
