After running for a little bit, my '91 318iS's idle will rise and drop and eventually cut off. After it cuts off it won't start for about 1-2 minutes, it has also started cutting off even while I'm driving. I replaced the fuel filter last night and also replaced the idle air control about a year ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine did that when the ICV crapped out, could be the crank sensor or even the MAF going out too. Disconnect your ICV and drive it around for a min and see if that makes a difference. Do the same with your MAF.1991 318is - Daily/weekend track car.
